Our Titles

Siiri Sampson signed a note recently as "Food Fiend." That made me think of some of our titles. Okay, for real,  Mark is MD. Brook is PhD, MPH. Sandy and Sam are each AIA, Tina is BA, PMP . Jon is Col. Jon L. Sampson (ret.), and there is a host of other degrees among us that I haven't listed.  But there are also some that amuse me better. I think Dean and Dave are both "LD," for "Lacking Dissertation," in physics and political science respectively. Milly used to sign her letters "CC&BW," for "Chief Cook and Bottle Washer. She took her inspiration from Gene Sampson, who had the best title of all.  He signed a letter "Eugene G. Sampson, GD." Milly asked him what it stood for. "God Dammit!" he answered.
