Johnnie and the Turkeys

Sylvia claimed that this was true. When Johnnie and Evelyn lived at Myrtle Point, Oregon, in the 1940s, they tried raising turkeys. The first disgusting thing that happened was that each one had to have its cloacum  examined for infection. Then, because they were so stupid, they had to be taught to roost. Now, imagine Johnnie, who was a big man, very handsome in the  1940s European style (as depicted in old black and white movies), with a straight nose and hair combed straight back. In the turkey house, he crouched on the perch and made gobbling noises.  Maybe that's when he decided to give up turkey farming.
