James Brook MacPherson Martin arrived on July 31, 2015. He checked in at 9 pounds, 8 oz. His Caesarian deliver was scheduled for four days later, but Mom Alison Gillespie Monroe Martin took a fall that induced labor a few days early. His names come from a paternal great-grandfather and great uncle; from Uncle Brook; from one of Alison's ancestors; and from Eric's paternal family name. He's dark-eyed here, as all newborns are after silver nitrate in the eyes; but no doubt he will have big blue eyes like both folks and both of his older brothers, Vake and Gil. We'll have to wait and see on the hair color. Here's the Sampson line: Eli and Sofia; Vake and Milly; Susan and ex, Martin; Eric and Alison; and Mac!
