Planet of the Apes

Tonight's movie on PBS is "Planet of the Apes."  My husband Jerry saw it on the year it came out, in 1968.  He saw it at the Danang, Vietnam, air base.  Just before the end, the sirens sounded and everybody filed out of the theater to avoid an air attack from the enemy.  When "All clear" sounded, he and the other airmen returned to the theater, where he caught the last two minutes of the movie before reporting to work, for his next 12 hour shift.
