Evelyn's Mystery Man in Boots

 Jon forwards these pictures of his mother, Evelyn. 

On the left is Johnnie Spicer,her first husband. One of her cousins called him a "Momma's boy;" that marriage did not endure.  On the right is someone else important in her life before she married Johnnie Sampson. A family friend, Wilda King, (part owner of the Ford Motor Company in Grants Pass, OR), told Jon that after that picture was taken, anytime Evelyn would see someone in boots like that, she would start to cry.
