Jon offers: The pictures are of some 'Tri-Delts' (Delta, Delta, Delta), and their dates at one of their house dances. I 'hashed' (served meals) at the Tri-Delt house spring term of my freshman year (to get away from 'Dorm' food, & save the cost of meals in the dorm). Tri Delts could date the house boys; Pi Phis could not; (we got their left-over house dance favors).

In probably Jr. High School, (P.E. class?), we were taught the "box step", and then possibly some square dances. I never got beyond "the box," but it still works (with the right partner). jl
(Sue comments: Yes, kids, Jon's "high water pants" with the tapered leg and white socks with the dark suit were completely fashionable, as were the pretty dresses that the girls were wearing in the late 1950s and early 1960s.)
