Tina spent her junior year in college abroad, in France. To appreciate her stories, you have to recognize that she is small, 5'2", and weighed 103# soaking wet. She is so fair complected that she has a pale blue cast under her eyes. She had no difficulty getting along with the French: they respected her efforts to learn the language. However, there came a time when she needed to shop for some new underwear. The saleslady looked her up and down and said, "Well, you are rather large, aren't you." Tina squirted herself with a sample of French perfume before she left the store, and complained that she couldn't get the aroma to wash off for a week. And when she was getting ready to leave for home, a fellow student, who was Egyptian, confided, "I've always thought it was so interesting the way you wore your eye shadow under your eyes."
