Leslie Jones (Eli and Sylvia, Vake and Milly, Sandy and Johnie Jones, Leslie Anne Jones) is writing professionally, despite her dad's warning that her degree in print journalism might be as useful as her learning to carve buggy spokes. After three years editing an English-language, online entertainment magazine in Shanghai and Beijing, she traveled in southeast Asia for several months, then came home to work on her novel. She and Sandy just took a short time out to catch the Trans-Siberian Express across Mongolia and Siberia into Russia, and she plans to take a quick detour to Chernobyl before staying in Austin, Tx to try to find a way to make writing pay her living. In the meantime, she has had a long article published in Buzzfeed online on September 20, 2013. It's about an American who disappeared while hiking in China about a decade ago. His family has accumulated evidence that he was kidnapped by the North Koreans, who have kidnapped multilingual people such as he to teach English in North Korea. To see the article, Google Buzzfeed, then choose its World news, then use the search icon (magnifying glass) to search for Leslie Anne Jones. The web page opens to "Nine Long-for articles we're reading this week," and you can scroll down to find Leslie's contribution from there.
